The pandemic disrupted many aspects of our lives, including worship. However, Hillsong Worship didn’t let that stop them from creating music that connects us to the heart of God. After a one-year break, Hillsong Worship is back with a fresh new album, “These Same Skies”. Released on November 5th, 2021, the album has already attracted more than 1.7 million global streams. Plus, it is the band’s only album recorded entirely in the stateside. In addition, it’s their first live recording since the release of “There is More,” released in 2018.
As for the message of this uplifting piece, “These Same Skies” revolves around the Gospel of Matthew and the setting of the historical Sermon on the Mount. It captures worship from iconic figures like Reuben Morgan, Benjamin Hastings, Brooke Lingertwood, and among others on eleven powerful originals. All the songs have solid lyrics, which is the earmark of this new record.
Formed in 1998 as part of Hillsong Church, Hillsong Worship continues to adorn us with songs that exalt and fuel revival on the earth. They are indeed a mainstay in modern worship music. We can always count on them to deliver powerful and inspiring songs.
