Known for his soulful and inspiring music, Don Moen is an American singer, songwriter, and worship leader who has written more than a hundred songs. Having sold over 5 million copies of his albums, Don Moen has released several stellar albums that include “Thank You Lord”, “I Believe There is More”, “Grace” and many more.
Early Life of Don Moen
Born on June 29th, 1950, Don grew up in Two Harbors, Minnesota. He attended Oral Roberts University which is a Christian Liberal Arts school. Don Moen became a Living Sound musician for Terry Law Ministries and traveled with Terry Law for over ten years.
Don Moen’s “Thank You Lord”
“Thank You Lord” is one of Don’s most popular worship music albums that was also featured at No. 15 on Billboard Magazine’s Top Christian Albums in March 2005. Released on April 6th, 2004, by Integrity Music, “Thank You Lord” was recorded on October 3rd, 2003, during a live worship service at the Regent University in Virginia. The recording featured the “Kingdom of Choir of Tide Water” and the “Brentwood Baptist Church Worship Choir” along with worship leader Don Moen.
Music Career
After working for Integrity media as the creative director and president of Integrity music for more than 20 years, he left the organization to start “The Don Moen Company”. Soon, Don became a radio host for “Don Moen & Friends” in 2009.
Over the course of his career, Don Moen has produced 11 volumes for the “Hosanna! Music” series of worship albums. He also received a Dove Award for his work on the popular musical “God with Us”. Currently, Don is the president of Don Moen Productions and resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and five children.
